Italian-Swiss soprano Clara Meloni was recently invited to Harvard University to give a lecture on pronunciation techniques in operatic singing.

 Alongside her work as a voice teacher, she maintains an active international career, performing regularly across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Her repertoire spans from baroque to contemporary music, and she is frequently the dedicatee of new works by living composers such as Ralf Gawlick, Bernhard Lang, and Pierre Jodlowski, among others.

 She has appeared as a soloist on the stages of the Opéra de Lyon, Opéra de Lausanne, Opéra de Bâle, Théâtre National de Marseille, Opéra de Nancy, Opéra de Nice, Opéra de Lille, and the Edinburgh Festival, as well as at the Opéra de Metz.

​

 Her concert engagements have taken her to prestigious venues and festivals, including the Lucerne Festival, the Palace of Peace in Astana (Kazakhstan), the Krakow Philharmonic, the Barbican Centre in London, Les Jardins Musicaux and Amplitudes festivals, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Salle de Musique in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the International Festival of Early Music in Daroca (Spain), the Musica Sacra Festival in Maastricht, and the Berliner Festspiele.

 She recently recorded a CD for DECCA with the Alban Berg Ensemble Vienna and will be touring Europe with the group to promote the release.

 She also appears on a newly released DVD, performing alongside Patrizia Ciofi and Laurent Naouri in a production directed by Laurent Pelly.

​

 As a teacher, she gave a vocal masterclass last February at Boston College (USA).

 Since 2020, she has been teaching classical voice at the Conservatoire de musique neuchâtelois, as well as vocal technique for actors at the Théâtre Populaire Romand.

​

 She will soon lead another masterclass in Switzerland, dedicated to the music of Charles Haenni, a Swiss composer from the canton of Valais. On this occasion, she will also serve as a jury member for the first Swiss interpretation competition devoted to his work.

​

 Clara Meloni holds a teaching diploma in voice, a master’s degree in performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, a master’s in opera from the Hochschule der Künste in Bern, and a university diploma in vocal health and medicine from the University of Toulouse.
